John Lyon for US Senate
From Arizona 2012
Time for tariffs

In 2010, the United States of America lost $500 billion through "free trade" with the rest of the world.  That was a relatively good year.  In 2007, we lost $700 billion in global commerce.  The USA has not had a positive annual international balance of payments since the mid 1960s.

Every year, the federal government borrows hundreds of billions of dollars from abroad to help fund budget deficits.  It's time to stop sending American money and jobs to Red China and other foreign nations.  It's time to balance the federal budget and bring well-paying manufacturing jobs back to America.

Why I'm Running for US Senate

I made the decision to run for the US Senate after hearing Congressman Jeff Flake speak at the April 2011 meeting of the Republican Party of the 12th Legislative District (LD12 Republicans). Flake is a likable man with strong conservative views on taxing, spending and regulating. He gave a fine presentation at the meeting. His views on trade and immigration, however, I found unacceptable. I decided that even though I have no experience in elective office the people of Arizona would do far better to elect me to the Senate than Jeff Flake or any other free trade, open borders, New World Order Republican.

I have decided that I will not accept any corporate contributions, nor will I accept any individual contributions in excess of $200.00. I am not expecting to win this election through a multimillion dollar broadcast media blitz. I am expecting to win this election through grass roots support of Republicans who do not want to let the reigning political establishment continue to run this country.
